Fake Anti-Spyware Software. Do not muff up!

Before i got my anti-spyware protection software i was deep in research for the right answer. It is not as simple as it looks like: making a search engine query like "best anti-spyware software" doesn't mean that top results will meet the requirement you need.


There's a huge flow of fake anti-spyware programs recently - useless applications trying to persuade user to buy licensed software version. Absolutely, some of you have already run into difficulties with VirusProtectPro (aka Virus Protect Pro), ContraVirus, Spylocked (aka SpywareLocked) or many others rogue anti-spyware applications. None of these programs are recommended to use for anti-spyware protection.

The names mentioned above fall into Fake Anti-Spyware category due to the fact that it is fooling computer user with its fake computer security alerts. Such misleading warnings are terrifying computer owner forcing him to buy licensed program version. Many users believe that spending money on corrupt and worthless tools will solve their problems. So far... Since rogue anti-spyware are being spread by the trojan, infection will totally disappear after proper and complete removal.

Here is how the user is hustled. Firstly trojan intrudes the system to generate the first security alert. Trojan can get on your machine by browsing suspicious websites, by downloading and installing software that has a trojan infection (usually free software). You can easily identify trojan by an extra icon in the taskbar, occasionally popping the balloon and warning that that the computer is infected:

After clicking on the balloon a product purchase page will open asking to buy a copy of a program.


Actually, majority of fake anti-spyware software are the same, except name and interface are different. Shortly, after new corrupt software appeared, search engine results are filled up with appropriate malware removal methods. That is why rogue applications with a new names are beeing created over and over. So, the goal is to mislead user with unfamiliar rogue computer security software and to make a good thing of selling it.

Is there a way around?


Well, first and foremost get reliable and secure anti-spyware protection software, which is able to stop trojan from intruding the system and thus blocking fake security alerts in the taskbar.
Let's say you have already been infected. Merely, search google using keywords "malware name" removal or check spyware-removal-guideline.com database for infection removal method. There are lots of computer security related forums that help to get rid of infections. All you have to do is start a new thread posting a hijackthis log.
