The risk located in your e-mail box

Nowadays e-mail is fast and practical communication tool, which changed corresponding through post-offices in many spheres. You can reach any country of the world in a few seconds. Email is friendly utility for spreading injurious objects as well. Infected item in your e-mail box is not dangerous till you do not open it. If e-mail message contains html code, parasites can easily get on your machine just reading the message. If you downloaded the attachment of the message and decided to run downloaded file, virus or spy object can occupy your computer and do lots of damage to the data on your hard disks, software or even to hardware. Sometimes friendly and nothing harmful offering e-mails can do lots of damage and you would not even suspect that. In order to reduce risks of getting injurious objects on your computer follow these steps:
  • Open e-mail messages you got from the well-known person
  • If you received an e-mail from unknown person and you still want to open it be sure your anti-virus or anti-spyware software is updated and real-time protection is enabled
  • Stay away from e-mail messages containing html source. Read them as plain text, even sometimes message can look like characters jumble; ignore html code elements, read only necessary information. It is better to read message this way that catch a spy object or harmful virus.
